The University Club of Santa Barbara is excited to announce the appointment of our new Chef, Marc Meynenc. A Michelin Star award-winning French Chef with more than 30 years of culinary experience, Chef Marc brings a new wave of expertise and excellence to the UClub. “We are very excited to elevate the quality of food and service at the University Club, and Marc is just the man to do it,” says current UClub President James Ballantine.
Chef Marc—a native of the south of France—began his apprenticeship at a very early age; receiving classic training and sage advice that guided his career and approach to cooking: “keep it simple and use only the best and freshest products available.”
He also enjoyed working across the globe, including Switzerland, London, Bahrain, and Australia as well as a return to America to work for the prestigious Boston Symphony, eventually opening his own Boutique Catering restaurant business here in Santa Barbara in 2005, which he sold last year (to our benefit).
We are graced with such dedication to his culinary craft and a love of procuring fresh organic and local ingredients. We can’t wait to see you for your next event at the UClub!
