For the premiere blog post on our Club’s newly launched website, it seems fitting, though slightly ironic, that I’ve chosen to write about the new website itself. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to explore the new site prior to its official launch, and haven’t been able to contain my excitement since. It’s efficient, easy to navigate and contains so many tools and benefits to make life just a little easier for our members.
Before I walk you through some of the new features, I want to express the Club’s appreciation to the Firm tasked with the re-creation of the website, All Stages Marketing, and its team, led by owners Andreas and Amber Hinterplattner (who also happen to be UClub members). Andy, Amber and their team devoted months to the planning, development and construction of the site.
So how does our new website benefit you as a member? Let me walk you through a few of my favorite features……
• Menus: our weekly Bistro Dinner menu and Member Lunch menu, including the daily soups and specials, are now at your fingertips. The menus are located in the dropdown menu on the main page under membership.
• Member Event Schedule: from the Event menu on the main page, select Upcoming Member Events. You’ll be directed to a monthly event calendar, as well a chronological listing of upcoming activities, committee/board meetings and events. Click on any individual event for detailed information. All 2015 member events and activities are listed, so you’ll never miss an event again.
• It’s an easy way to connect with what’s happening at your club: Bi-monthly blog posts (such as this one) will keep you up to date on club news information; just select the blog option on the main page. The website is also structured to archive the monthly club newsletters, available in the member area. And continually updated lists of our 300+ reciprocal clubs, current Board Members and the club’s full-time and administrative staff are available with the click of a mouse.
• My favorite new and improved area by far is our Member Area. Once you log into this members only page, not only do you have the member directory at your disposal, you now have extensive options for creating your own member profile. In your member profile, you have the opportunity to showcase your profession or business to your fellow members. Attach your company logo and provide links to its website or social media forums. With your member profile, you can also elect to join our new “Insiders Club”, which allows your business to offer special rates or incentives, and will provide you with the same great deals from other members!
